Gorg Per is a fictional creature, one of the horrible creatures that inhabit Robert E.Howell's Mythos. He is often cited for the extreme descriptions given of its appearance, size, and the abject terror that he invokes. Gorg Per is often referred to in small horror and fantasy circles as a shorthand for a ghoulish horrible man. Story Conceived in the in unwilling bedding between a Gorg(Mad Orc Sorcerer with added likeness to Rasputin)and a human female. He was then abandoned at birth in the woods left to die in the winter. But was found by evil underground creatures who is yet to be named. Brought up in evil,daily torture and sodomizing he became a greater evil than his own capters. He escaped when coming of age after ending the evil that had held him so long. The reason for his success in the escape was a pact between him and a greater deity Set that he would terrorize every man,woman and child if he granted him the strength to break his chains. Background Gorg Per is most likely derived from norwegian folklore, where there are stories of a horrid men or in norwegian (Byting). Who was taken as children by evil orc like creatures called Hulder. Who then went mad when reaching adulthood was released back to the world again only to cause havoc and terror. These stories was only meant to scare children from wandering too far into the woods alone. In the mythos he is described as a slumbering sloth like man with very ogre like facial features. He never used any sort of weapon but overpowered his victims with his huge gorilla like strength and fighting style. Gorg Per has made a few very short appearances throughout the comic book series, never part of a main storyline but more as a interesting sidenote. The first description of him was in the story of the souleater. Where he is described to Conan by a man as a unspeakable horror who had caught a young woman from the nearby village never to be seen again. The story of Gorg Per wasen't told until many numbers later.
