DC Live

DC Live (born on August 5, 1982) is a Ft. Lauderdale Florida based radio show host. His show can be heard on the internet radio station iROCK109 every Monday at 5:00pm EST.

Biography
Early Life
DC Live was born in Bayside, Queens New York to his parents who had happily married years earlier. He has an identical twin brother, and two younger sisters. Shortly after his birth, his family relocated to Vista, New York - a small town on the New York, Connecticut border.

At the age of 6, he remembers sitting in his bathroom with a ghetto blaster radio with dual tape decks. He would record his first radio shows by taping music from the radio, and dubbing in his voice between the tracks. This was to be the start of his dream.

When DC Live was 13, his parents divorced and he was relocated to Coral Springs, Florida with his mother, brother and sisters.

College & Early Career
DC Live graduated Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in June of 2001, and started attending Florida Atlantic University(FAU) later that same summer. While at FAU, he joined the radio station, and began work as an on-air DJ. He continued with voice over work for his local Clear Channel and Cox Communications radio stations, and even spent a brief time on-air.

In 2003, he made the decision to leave college early, and put his radio career on hold to help his family's business. Due in part to his work ethic, he helped his family's flooring company grow from a family operation to a multi-million dollar national company in just 3 short years.

With his success, he decided to return to his dream of being on the radio, and began on-air with a Miami, Florida based internet radio station in 2007. Within six months, the station made the decision to switch formatting from Rock Music to Rap Music and R&B - DC Live left the station immediately.

iROCK109
In early 2008, DC Live found his current home iROCK109 during an internet search for classic rock internet radio stations. He became a fan of some of the stations DJ's and in the summer, applied for a position on-air. He was accepted, and within weeks DC Live on iROCK109 was born.

The show in it's current form features classic rock and alternative rock mixed with his irreverent brand of humor and wit. Features of the show include Instant Classics, a set of 90's alternative rock, and Wacky News in which he announces actual news stories with a funny twist.

DC Live on iROCK109 currently airs every Monday at 5:00pm EST

Notable Accomplishments
DC Live is currently an active supporter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and each year helps put together a charity benefit for the organization. In the past 2 years alone, he has helped to raise over $200,000 for the research to find a cure to Cystic Fibrosis.
