Bunny Dees (born October 10, 1952) is a resident of Texarkana, Texas, and made her acting debut in 1972 as Elizabeth Ford in the Charles B. Pierce film The Legend of Boggy Creek.

Bunny was 19 years old and a student at Texarkana Community College when she was asked to portray Mrs. Ford. She then went on to pursue a career in theater. She received a major in English and theater from the University of Texas in Austin, as well as two minors in dance and psychology. At her father's request, she also worked to obtain a teaching certificate.

After graduating, Bunny took a position teaching theater at Anderson High School in Austin, Texas, working under Robert Singleton. She became Anderson's head theater director in 1978. One of her students from Anderson High, Mehcad Brooks, went on to land a spot on the ABC drama Desperate Housewives. Another of her students was John Harrison, who played the role of Renée Zellweger's prom date in the 1994 film Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation.

Bunny Dees moved back home to Texarkana in 1998 where she currently teaches drama at Texas High School. She still occasionally performs in plays.

No she doesn't. :) She currently (2/27/09) teaches English at Ashdown High School. Arkansas, Not Texas. Ashdown, not Texarkana.

Miss Dees was my drama teacher at Anderson High in 1984-1985. I graduated in 1986. She was the best. I was extremely shy and took this class in order to gain confidence in my abilities to speak in front of people. With Miss Dees love and patience that she showed each of us, I learned how to be a bright confident student. Thanks Miss Dees for being the best.

Wow! I graduated in 95 and my sister graduated in 89. Ms. Dees was both of our theater teachers. I was mainly in lights and sound while my sister acted! Ms. Dees, you were awesome!

Ms Dees thank you for being such a great teacher and making a huge difference in my daughter Sativa January's (Seniors 88) life. She graduated UT with a BA in Journalism, worked as a model briefly, worked in TV and documentary film making, worked for the UN documenting the Special Court of Sierra Leone War Crimes Tribunal, during which time she traveled extensively, worked in New York, in Berkeley for an NGO, graduated from NYU with an MFA in Creative Writing this year 2010, is married, living in Napa,California and she and her husband are expecting twins. You were her guiding star during a very difficult time of life. Thanks again for making a difference.
