Blog Farm

A Blog Farm is a website constructed from a group of linked weblogs, typically with the main blog aggregating the total content/acting as a gateway. Links from the other sites to the mainweb site artificially increase its ranking in search engines, therefore generating more hits and possibly advertising revenue . Although several firms offer software or services to create blog farms, Google has already taken steps to demote blogs whose popularity is artificially boosted in this way .
