Supporting or defending Muslims cause in India is still acceptable, this guy is an Anti-Indian. He is pro-Pakistani, one should read his articles in dailymuslim.com etc. Just search for his name and you will see tons of anti India Material. I being an Hindu have Muslim friends and respect them, their religion, as they respect me and my religion, but people like Abdul Ruff, creates discontent amongst people and are the reason to make people of other religion to believe that all Indian muslims are anti-India. This has to be stopped somewhere. Why doesnt this person just go to Pakistan and cry hoarsely from there? why is he destroying Indian peace, and showing good Indian Muslims in bad light? why??

This man is one of the best Muslim writers and a defender of our rights. He speaks the truth and we wish the best to him.  
 
Whatever he says is the truth. Muslims in India are the most brutally persecuted group of people in the World. This was even admitted by many human rights organizations.  
 
When we raise our voice people are always there to instantly make us terrorist or Pro Pakistani or Anti Indian.  
 
It has become so annoying that we have now lost hope in India. Gujarat genocide victims still got no justice. Modi is happily enjoying after draining our blood. Shiv Sena RSS terrorist leaders are still calling on hindus to kill us all. Rahul Gandhi says he will cut the heads of muslims.  
 
No matter how much we Muslims deny it and try to please the majority by not talking about the reality or our rights it is the truth that we have no rights in India as minorities.  
 
Even christians of kandhamal and sikhs of delhi and amritsar have seen true face of so called democracy here. Even today daily muslims killed across india for their religion. At other times police and hindu terrorist organizations join hands to frame us as terrorist using terrorism as excuse to jail innocent muslims.  
 
If the majority Hindus want us to go to Pakistan and be Pro Pakistani then fine. We will live in India and support Pakistan. We will support independence movements here and will support Deccan Kashmiri and other pro independence movements.  
 
Afterall India gave us nothing in the first place. It is still dominated by people who dont even want us in there in the first place.

As a Christian, my religion is closer to Islam than Hinduism. However I see Muslims hold "richest man", "Indian President", "top Bollywood star" in India.  
 
I traveled in both Pakistan and India a lot. I HAVE NEVER SEEN HINDUS IN PAKISTAN (if you can find one) HOLD SUCH POSITIONS OR DARE TO SPEAK SO FREELY????? 
 
If India is so bad for Muslims, How does Dr.Colachal speak so freely in India and not get his head cut off. Because of India's tolerance he can express himself so freely. Let's see a Non Muslim in Pakistan do the same!!!!!

The following comments about you have some contradictions:

A research scholar is supposed to limit scope of research by boundaries of subject only, and not by a criterion that itself is one among the possible bias criteria. This clearly demonstrates that there is a high chance that your "research" will be biased. 
 
"Hindus criticize Ruff for defending Muslims": 
Probably not. This is putting words to their mouth and a wrong one at that. Everyone has rights to criticise your approach of "Muslim Defense" (this unmasks your first commitment) and that need not be constructed as "Opposing Muslim Defense", unless it is "convenient" to you to put it that way. 
 
Fundamentalism comes in many versions. Research Scholarship" is just another flavour.

I have many indian muslim friends and I like them but at the same time this idoit Ruff is a anti indian and he supports Pkistan look genteleman in 1947 we gave you muslims a country called pakisatn and we asked you to choose the country then why you talk now please take kashmir also we are ready to give you but on one condition that you should never again talk on muslim minority etc allow us live in our land with peace I beg you muslims brothers please take all disgruntled muslims in india also please leave us
